AEO Sprint Specialist for Agencies & Consultancies

From invisible to recommended in AI search

When a buyer asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini who to hire, the shortlist it returns is the pitch list — before any website visit, before any call. We run structured sprints that get you on it.

The problem

Most agencies have zero presence in AI search — and don't know it yet

Buyers stopped scrolling ten blue links. They ask an AI model to shortlist agencies, read the three or four names it returns, and start there. If your firm isn't one of them, you're not losing the pitch — you never got the meeting.

Publishing more blog posts rarely fixes this. Most sites have no visibility because their signals aren't aligned: no consistent authority claims, no content structured for AI extraction, nothing for a model to cite with confidence.

AI Search — Live Response
"Which agency should we shortlist for AI search visibility?"
  1. Agency A Cited 14x — structured authority content, referenced across 6 models.
  2. Agency B Cited 9x — strong on measurement and attribution prompts.
  3. Your agency — no consistent citation signal found.
The approach

The Authority Framework

Before we publish a single article, we define what you stand for — the claims that need to show up, consistently, across every AI answer. Content is the vehicle. Positioning is the work.

01

Define the pillars

What you do, who it's for, and the three or four claims every AI answer needs to reinforce about your firm.

02

Structure for extraction

Content engineered for how LLMs actually parse and cite a page — not for how search engines rank one.

03

Publish at volume

Consistent, scheduled publishing so gains compound between articles instead of rising and falling with each one. Our own data points to roughly ten times the content volume of an initial pilot before visibility holds rather than fades.

04

Track & redirect

Weekly citation tracking across eight major LLMs, feeding straight back into the following month's targets.

The proof · Case study

From zero to visible, in eight weeks

A specialist UK digital marketing agency had zero presence in AI search. When potential clients asked ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude for an agency, it didn't appear in the answer. We ran an eight-week on-site sprint — defining the agency's authority pillars and publishing six optimised articles on their own site.

How we work

Two ways to build AI visibility

Every engagement starts with the same question: what does the data say your firm needs? From there, we scope one of two shapes.

Foundation

The Sprint

For firms with little or no AI search presence who need proof, fast. A focused sprint that builds the authority framework and puts the first citations on the board.

  • Authority pillar workshop
  • On-site articles structured for LLM citation
  • Weekly citation tracking across 8 LLMs
  • Final data review with an honest recommendation
Scope a sprint
What happens, and when

From kick-off to first citations

Week 0

Prompt target session

A short working session to agree exactly which discovery prompts and buyer intents we're targeting — and for which segment of client you want to attract.

Week 1

Authority framework & first drafts

We define your pillars, map them to search prompts, and get the first articles researched, written and structured for AI extraction.

Week 2–8

Publish on a consistent cadence

Articles go live on schedule. Each one reinforces the same commercial positioning across the same defined prompts, so the signal compounds instead of resetting.

Monthly

Data review, no spin

A structured citation-tracking pull and report — what moved, what didn't, and exactly where the next month's content should focus.

Questions

Before you book a call

AEO is the discipline of getting your firm cited, named and recommended inside AI-generated answers — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and the rest — rather than just ranked in a list of blue links. It's built on structured content, consistent authority claims, and citation tracking, not keywords.
SEO optimises for ranking algorithms and click-through. AEO optimises for extraction: how a language model reads, trusts and quotes a page when constructing an answer. The two overlap, but the content structure, the metrics, and the definition of "winning" are different.
In our most recent sprint, the client went from 0% to 30% visibility on target prompts in eight weeks. Early movement is often visible within four to six weeks; the gains compound as volume and consistency build.
Five categories cover most of what buyers ask an AI model: best-of and shortlist queries ("best marketing agency for X"), direct comparisons against named competitors, alternative or switching-intent queries, capability-specific positioning (measurement, attribution, a particular vertical), and niche or category-specific searches. We map these to your business before a single article gets written, then track visibility against each one separately.
We track citations and mentions across the eight major models — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Grok, Meta AI and DeepSeek — and report visibility and citation volume for each, monthly.
Three things, every month: whether you're visible on the target prompts, how much AI-referred traffic reaches your site, and how models actually describe you when they do cite you — two firms can both get cited and come away with very different framing. On the traffic point, treat analytics as a floor rather than a ceiling: plenty of buyers see you named in an AI answer and type your URL directly instead of clicking through, so the real commercial impact usually runs ahead of what's tracked.
No. The on-site sprint work is fully within our control and doesn't depend on external placements. Off-site authority building — press mentions, directories, Wikipedia — is a genuine amplifier, but it's a separate workstream we'll only recommend once the foundation is in place.
A named content contact for approvals, publishing access to your site, and thirty minutes a month to review the data with us. Everything else we handle end to end.
